JOB OPPORTUNITIES:

  •  The Students Union have asked for a volunteer to photograph the Activities Fair on the 25th of September in The Octagon and Union. If you are interested please reply to this email by the 1st of September!
  • We’ve been emailed about two job opportunities, one for taking photos at a Alumni Rowing Event and one for volunteering for The University Paper.

    1. Details: “Hello I am the Publicity and Alumni Officer for the Rowing Club and have emailed PhotoSoc about an opportunity – a photographer is needed for our 50th Anniversary formal dinner on the 29th of November. This might seem a while in advance but I would appreciate the job being distributed around your members. As you can imagine organising a once-in-a-lifetime event for 200 people is rather stressful so the earlier I can book someone the better! Have a good summer Sally Jones Publicity and Alumni Officer Sheffield University Rowing Club 07800893364”

    2. Details: “Want to get experience in event photography and have your photos published in a newspaper? The University Paper in Sheffield is looking for photojournalists to photograph students’ club nights and social outings, for our Your Night section of the paper. This will involve going along to an event, enticing students into taking photos of them having fun, and sending your favourites along to the editor. You get experience to put on your CV, and may also be contacted about different opportunities, for example news article photos. If you’re interested contact sheffieldeditor@unipaper.co.uk Thanks, Camille Brouard”

That’s all for now, and see you in the new year! Hannah
