Dear Fellow PhotoSoc Members,
1. First of all, 24 Hour Volunteering Sheffield is holding their event in November and they are looking for photographers.
So here are the details and their schedule:
24 hour volunteering is your chance to get involved in a jam packed, 24 hours, crammed full of amazing opportunities across our city.
5pm Friday 22nd November – 5pm Saturday 23rd November
- Loads of one off activities to ‘try before you buy’
- Hassle free sign up
- Meet hundreds of other volunteers
- Grab your FREE 24 hour festival bands
24 Hour Volunteering is a small snapshot into what our volunteers achieve throughout the year and it is our chance to tell everyone about it. Why not pledge a few hours & join in the celebration. Let’s see what a difference your time can make to our city.

They will be able to provide travel and in some cases food as well. You are more than welcome to bring your friends along and take part in these events.
If you’d like to shoot any part of this event please email us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
2. : There is an upcoming charity event “Do It for You” Day. They are looking for photographers to shoot this event.
So here are the details:
It is run jointly between Sport Sheffield and Sheffield Children’s Hospital and is for patients of the Haematology and Oncology departments. A lot of sports and activities are being put on for the children to get them interested and to increase their confidence in themselves.
The day runs from 10-4 at EIS on 24/11/13. You can contact Kit Wheeler on our Facebook group for more details. Travel and lunch are paid for.
It’s a really fun, relaxed day. Supplementary flash would also be useful inside the main arena.
This would be a great step for someone who is interested in getting into sports photography. Previous experience is not necessarily required.
