From Forge Press: Armistice Day
An Armistice Day parade is being organised on Friday 11th November at 10:45 (we think). If you’re interested in covering it, let us know.
Banning the Sun
A Union councillor is moving to have The Sun banned from sale in the Union Shop. We’re after a photo or photomanipulation that represents this (be creative!).
Occupy protestors have set up camp in Sheffield Cathedral’s courtyard. If you’re nearby, pop along and take a photo that represents the protest.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org if interested in these.
Also, a charity called Amantani UK (http://www.amantani.org.uk/) has just launched their first charity photography competition;
The title of the competition is ‘Meet My World’. We are looking for images that reflect your world expressed through the lens of your camera. Maybe a serene English country landscape, an active urban community, an engaging or surreal portrait, travel… Anything that inspires you in your world. It costs £5 per image and anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to enter, both amateur and professional. This is a really great opportunity for anyone interested in photography! We have a range of fantastic prizes including:
± A behind the scenes tour of Tate Photography studios with David Clarke, Head of Photography
± Aspire Photography Training Course
± London Photography Course – ‘Better Travel Photography’
Not to mention the winners will be exhibited in London in 2012. To enter email email@example.com.
