Black and White Fortnight!

Hello everyone,

Tomorrow marks the beginning of Black and White Fortnight here at PhotoSoc: fourteen days of monochrome joy, running from the 21st of February until the 6th of March, in which we explore the medium of black and white photography. Here’s a sneaky peek at what you can look forward to over the next two weeks…

On the interwebs:

We’ll be making regular posts on the glorious PhotoSoc website throughout Black and White Fortnight, including profiles of monochrome photographers, links to interesting articles on black and white photography, useful tips, and more. Add us to your daily bookmarks if you haven’t already, and keep up with the fun!

Thursday 24th of Feb:

A tutorial on how to get the best out of black and white photography, and a chance to share some of your own black and white photos – as always, everyone is welcome. 7:15pm in Arts Tower LT9.

Monday 28th of Feb:

Black and White themed Social!

Thursday 3rd of March:

Professional black and white photographer Dave Butcher will be coming in to talk to us about his work and share his expertise – a session not to be missed! 7:15pm in Arts Tower LT9.

Photo competition:

We will also be hosting a Black and White themed competition during the fortnight, to give us all some practise at seeing the world in monochrome. Prize to be confirmed, but it’s sure to be good…

That’s all the excitement for now, but keep an eye on our website for more!
